We are so impressed and amused by this Maid of Honor toast!! It takes a lot of guts to get up in front of family and friends, and express how you feel about someone you are close to. Most Maids of Honor struggle with composing their toast. They don't know whether they should be lighthearted, sentimental, tell a story, or keep it short and sweet.
In our opinion, this is a great toast!! The Maid of Honor manages to tell stories about her sister (the bride), be humorous, and rap with impressive skill to Eminem!!
You've got to check it out!
Enjoy,

The Best of the 2014 Vintage-Inspired Wedding Gowns
"It's all about the gown!"
Once a girl has found love, and he's given her that special ring, the next thing most girls focus on is the gown! Every girl dreams of her Cinderella moment on her big day. The most common saying every bridal stylist hears is, "I want to look like a princess!" While, princess ball gowns are great for creating a dramatic and romantic effect. Bridal fashions are beginning to steer in a different direction. Movies and TV shows such as The Great Gatsby, and Downton Abbey are bringing back the glitz and understated glamour of the 1920's and 1930's. Even though, gowns are more intricately decorated with lace, beading, and fringe. Many of the gowns are a slimmer silhouette, forgoing the princess feel and instead introducing a romantic heroine of a Fitzgerald novel.

In this post, we would like to highlight some of our favorite vintage inspired gowns of 2013 - 2014. These gowns shift the focus from dramatic silhouettes to the intricate and beautifully placed beading and lace. They are artistically created to be appreciated upon close inspection. Like an amazing art piece, that evokes an emotional response of wonder and amazement of the thought and craftsmanship invested in it, these gowns are wearable creations worthy of appreciation.

An Ode to Love and Spring
To Spring
By William BlakeO thou with dewy locks, who lookest down
Through the clear windows of the morning, turn
Thine angel eyes upon our western isle,
Which in full choir hails thy approach, O Spring!
The hills tell one another, and the listening
Valleys hear; all our longing eyes are turn’d
Up to thy bright pavilions: issue forth
And let thy holy feet visit our clime!
People often ask why we love weddings so much? Why obsess over details of a party that lasts just one day? The truth is weddings are so much more than a party that includes all of the bride and groom's family and loved ones. Weddings have always symbolized a new beginning, a promise of hope, love, and renewal. They are sacred celebrations in many cultures that include religious and cultural traditions which celebrate the newly united couple and welcome them into their community. Personally, I am saddened when people refer to marriage as a "piece of paper that ties two people together". That piece of paper, or marriage contract, is not the central focus of a wedding or union. It is simply legal proof of it. The beautiful rituals that are included in many wedding ceremonies remind the congregation and the couple of the significance of the commitment they are entering into, and how such commitment has been cherished by earlier generations. Many of these ceremonies also celebrate the different aspects of marriage and the qualities needed to sustain a healthy and happy union through out the years.
In the spirit of new beginnings, we are reminded of spring and its budding flowers ushering in the new season full of promise. The excitement begins to fill the air as birds chirp more loudly and little animals begin to scurry across lawns freed from winter's blistering cold. Similarly, wedding season begins, and invitations begin to appear announcing events. As a guest, try to not focus on dreading impending social engagements or worrying about losing those pesky 10 lbs. before your friend's wedding, take the time to enjoy the true meaning of the event. Similarly, as a bride, remind yourself of the commitment, love, and new life, you and your partner are about to embark on. This will ease any wedding day stress, and help shift your focus to what really matters.
